What this project does

Compare the modeled costs of selling an ebook, template, course or another one-time digital product. Add the expenses headline fee calculators often omit: customer acquisition, support, monthly software and the cost of making the product. Then see how the plan changes when the assumptions change.

How we approach accuracy

Published fee schedules have official source links and a verification record. Inputs you supply remain assumptions. The formulas are documented, invalid inputs are rejected, and impossible scenarios are labeled. We do not describe estimates as actual bank payouts or promise that a platform is best for every creator.

How guides are prepared

Our guides explain the same formulas used by the planner, using fictional examples that you can reproduce. They are educational scenarios, not customer results or earnings claims. We link to official fee schedules, distinguish facts from assumptions and update affected examples when the model changes. Corrections can be sent through the contact page.

Who maintains it

LaunchMargin is an independent project maintained by Dgedot ↗. It is not affiliated with Stripe, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy or Payhip. Provider names identify the fee schedules being modeled.

Access and business model

The current planner is free. Local saving, CSV export and share links do not require a paid account. There are no active advertising or analytics integrations in this version. If this changes, the relevant disclosures and privacy information will be updated before those services are enabled.
